What To Expect
What are services like?
Our main meeting is on Sunday morning at 10.30am. People start to arrive from 9.45 where tea, coffee and toast is available whilst chatting and enjoying fellowship before the service. The meeting starts with a short welcome followed by a time of worship which often includes times of prayer and reflection, Bible readings and personal testimonies as well as singing. The preaching usually starts at around 11.15 until 11.45. We finish with a final song and time of ministry and prayer until approx 12noon. Refreshments are also served after the meeting and occasionally we will share lunch together.
What is your style of worship?
We believe in people being made to feel comfortable in our services and being able to express their personal worship to God in ways that express their own personality and faith. Some people like to raise their hands and clap, others prefer to stand or sit quietly. We represent many different church experiences and backgrounds, some are from a traditional church history whereas other have been brought up in a charismatic Pentecostal church. The songs we sing are mainly modern choruses, including songs from Tim Hughes, Chris Tomlin, Hillsong, Bethel and Planetshakers. You can’t beat a good old hymn though and old favourites such as How Great Thou Art and Great is Thy Faithfulness are quite regularly enjoyed.
What do people wear?
We do not have a dress code. Whether you feel more comfortable in smart clothing or in jeans and trainers, you will be made most welcome.
